Why would someone pay me to eat dinner?

Our clients have contacted us because they want to know what's going on in their restaurants. We pay you to tell us about your experience!

Do I need restaurant experience to be a shopper?

No, no experience necessary! Our survey was designed by industry professionals to answer questions that the every day diner might miss. The only requirements are that you are over the age of 18, can read and write English, and have a valid email address.

How much money can I make being a shopper?

We offer the most competitive rates in the secret shopping industry. In addition to being reimbursed for your meal (up to a certain dollar amount, depending on the restaurant), you earn $10 per shop.

How and when do I get paid?

Please allow up to 60 business days for your payment and reimbursement to process. Depending on the time of year, it may be faster. You MUST submit an itemized receipt to receive reimbursement.

How do I receive payment?

You must have a valid PayPal account to be paid. Shoppers should register the same email used for their PayPal account as they have with Restaurant Recon.

What can I order?

Instructions vary by restaurant location. Owners ask that you order as a regular patron.

Do restaurants know that I am coming?

Management has a general idea of the timing/frequency of each shop but will not know exactly what day or time you are there. Keep anonymity at all times.

What kind of time commitment does this require?

We ask that you follow the instructions and timeline of each shop. After you complete the shop during its scheduled time, the survey take around 15 minutes from start to finish. Each shop should last around 2 hours. You are free to sign up for shops whenever they are available on your convenience, however once you commit, it must be completed in the scheduled time.
